We are
centrally located in the Midwest, Cleveland Ohio, an easily
accessible destination to take faux finishing classes and
learn faux finish techniques.
The Great Lakes Decorative Arts Studio is a school
devoted to presenting the latest techniques in the faux
finishing and decorative arts industries. We use the finest
products available to the professional faux design world,
preferring to use the best product for each specific
application. “On the Wall” experience is a bonus, as we
have a 35’ wall with miniature ceilings where you can apply
your knowledge.

RENOVATION NEWS!
Ann recently returned from the Washington D.C. area,
where she spent three days installing designs in the
Green Living Show Home in Falls Church, VA. Filmed for
HGTV’s My Big Amazing Renovation and NBC’s House
Smarts, the premier home is built to MyGreenCottage
healthy home standards and LEED certification. Ann
created the designs for the only ceiling to be decorated
in the home. Artists were selected from all over the
country to work on this green home. Only water based
products were used to ensure easy cleanup and
environmental friendliness.
Ann applied ceiling medallion and border designs in one
room and also transformed a concrete cinder block wall
into brick to coordinate with the existing brick that
had previously been the exterior wall. The Show Home
Grand Gala Event and reveal was Saturday, June 20, 2009.

Faux Finishing Classes
are taught by experienced finishers who are presently active in
the client arena. We cover the full range of décor options, from
old world to contemporary, sleek finishes.
Classes are targeted to all levels of experience, from
homeowners who are interested in learning how they can improve their
home to professionals wishing to expand their portfolio with
cutting edge techniques.

Division
Our contracting division offers an extensive portfolio of artisan wall and architectural finishes for residential and commercial projects. Decorative treatments for ceilings, walls and floors, cabinet and furniture refinishing and European plasters are executed with water based materials that are environmentally friendly with low
VOCs.
Please call for a consultation date to discuss your project and view our portfolio of high quality, unique finishes. We will meet with you either in our studio or at the location of the work to be done. Measurements will be taken followed by a written estimate. Each project receives our complete attention, from the consultation through the completion of the project.
