classes are taught in an historic warehouse with tall
ceilings, lots of windows and great lighting. The classes
provide all the materials necessary to create inspired
finishes! With the “On the Wall” stations, as well
as the opportunity to practice the finishes on actual walls
and ceilings, you will learn your craft as you will encounter
it out in the field. |

For those of you
who have always wanted to design your own class, this is for
you. Students are requested to bring in the best photos
possible of several rooms that they are working on. Based on
your photos, several finishes will be custom designed for each
area and a design colorboard will be created for presentation
to the client. If fabric and carpet / flooring swatches and
paint decisions have been made, bring these as well, for
inclusion in the colorboard. Moldings will also be addressed.
Specific areas to be covered include color theory and real
world application techniques. This is your chance to make the
class your own. And, of course, observing and interacting with
fellow finishers will inspire you to raise your own personal
bar.

Those Little Necessities... And Add-ons |
Here is your
chance to work on all of those (no so) little extras
that exist in every room we work in. How many times have
you encountered switch plates, mantles, outlet and vent
covers, ceiling medallions and light fixtures? Learn how
to turn these critical items into a win-win situation
for you and your client.
We will have these items available for practicing on,
along with the latest techniques and water based
products for the looks you are striving to create.
Business solutions and contract ideas will also be
covered in this one day Saturday class.

All
class times are from 9:00 am - 5:00 pm unless noted otherwise. Lunches and
beverages are provided for your convenience.
Class
schedules and fees are subject to change. Call the Great Lakes Decorative
Arts Studio at 440-871-6672 to confirm class schedule and fee prior to
registration. The Great Lakes Decorative Arts Studio reserves the right to
cancel any class with below minimum registration, with full refunds or
transfers given. We accept Visa and Mastercard for your convenience.
Registration
Policy: A 50% deposit is required to reserve your class. The
balance is due seven (7) days prior to the first day of the class. A two
week notice is required by the student for changes or cancellations. If a
2 week notice is not received a 25% penalty will be assessed on the
refund.
