We are centrally located in the Midwest, Cleveland Ohio, an easily accessible destination to take faux finishing classes and learn faux finish techniques. Inside Look at our Studio: See Below Here is our Practice Wall where you will be able to practice learned techniques.  The Great Lakes Decorative Arts Studio is a school devoted to presenting the latest techniques in the faux finishing and decorative arts industries. We use the finest products available to the professional faux design world, preferring to use the best product for each specific application. “On the Wall” experience is a bonus, as we have a 35’ wall with miniature ceilings where you can apply your knowledge. Faux Finishing Classes are taught by experienced finishers who are presently active in the client arena. We cover the full range of décor options, from old world to contemporary, sleek finishes.  Classes are targeted to all levels of experience, from homeowners who are interested in learning how they can improve their home to professionals wishing to expand their portfolio with cutting edge techniques. The Artist Open Studio at the Lake Erie Building in October was a Great Success!  The Great Lakes Decorative Arts Studio  joined with the artisans of this historic brick factory and welcomed one and all. Many came and saw our classroom, our samples and got hands on information about our classes in Faux Painting. We hope to see you at our next event!

The blue is a radiant, calming hue, dark, but not dark enough to be in the realm of navy, and is a sharp contrast to the 2007 choice, Chili Pepper Red. Is Blue The New Green? Other professionals disagree with Pantone’s choice. Margaret Walsh, director of the Color Association, says her color of 2008 is bamboo. She believes the strong green, hinted with yellow, represents the changing social desire to be more environmentally clean. read more
